Ok family and friends. This week was so fast I have zero recollection of what happened. This email will be short. My apologies. I do have pictures though!
All I can really remember from this week is the cold has come... ITS FREAZING. AND IT'S NOT EVEN WINTER. I will come home in an casket because I will freeze do death this winter. My companion really likes the cold, but I think he's a show off haha. He only wears short sleeves and a coat because he doesn't want me to feel "left out". Haha, he's goofy. We moved this week too. It's the boonies. We're about 8 miles away from town and we are getting destroyed on our monthly miles haha. So we might be biking or walking soon...
That's all I can remember honestly... I'm sorry!! I'll do better next week y'all! Miss and love you all so much! Please write me!!!
From Elder Juan E. Uceda's talk "The Lord Jesus Christ Teaches Us To Pray" (thanks Jacob)
At the very moment we say, “Father in Heaven,” He hears our prayers and is sensitive to us and our needs. And so His eyes and His ears are now connected to you. He reads our minds, and He feels our hearts. You cannot hide anything from Him. Now, the wonderful thing is that He will see you with eyes of love and mercy—love and mercy that we cannot fully understand. But love and mercy are with Him the very moment you say, “Father in Heaven.”
So a moment of prayer is a very, very sacred moment. He is not one to say, “No, I will not listen to you now because you only come to me when you are in trouble.” Only men do that. He is not one to say, “Oh, you cannot imagine how busy I am now.” Only men say that.
