GOOD WEEK THIS WEEK!!!! So, Soda Springs is a different place. There's lots of members but also lots of non-members. We are walking so we don't have a car but I love it! We get to talk to everyone that's on the street and we found about five potential investigators from it! My companion as Elder Wells and he goes home and August so we are working our butts off. Him and I got to serve together at the beginning of my mission. He was my district leader there for one transfer. We are both pumped to be here and know that good things will happen soon.
We covered 2 wards here, which is nice, but the church building we cover is on the other side of our area. But that's okay! It just means we get to talk to more people on the way. We made it a goal to talk to EVERY SINGLE PERSON no matter what. and we've been really good at it. And we found lots of potential investigators from it. The investigators we have are a couple that has been taking lessons for a long time and they are on date to be baptized for July 21st! There are some shady things that will probably push the date back but we're praying it doesn't. Our Ward Mission leaders here are so good! They are both really excited. There's Elder's here now. There were sisters here for 3 years or so and we are the first Elder here been a long time. Many people are excited haha.
We met our new Mission president and their family on Saturday. Holy cow!!!!!! This man will be an apostle hands down. He is 41 with three kids, his wife is 39, and he is a mission president. We are so excited that he's here! We found out that his Ward where he was just the bishop was the highest baptizing ward in North America... Yeah. So take that for a first impression! He has lots of things he wants to change and implement and we can feel that the work here is going to explode soon. we met them at a special Zone conference here in Soda Springs another Zone came here as well and I was asked to seeing a special musical number. I sang "Be Still My Soul" and another missionary accompanied me and just made some stuff up. I think it turned out well! I need to take voice again when I get home haha.
I'm loving the mission right now especially with Elder Wells. This is his last transfer but he's a hard worker which is good! He hasn't shown any signs of homesickness too much but he doesn't want to be so we are working hard. It's crazy next week I'll have been out for a year. I don't like thinking about how long I've been out, I never have. This year flew by so fast and I know the next will go by even faster so I'm just putting my head down and going to WORK. Being District Leader is fun! Being co-district leaders with Elder Wells is even better because less stress haha. I like it though!
That's about it for the week! I love you Mom!
