September 17, 2018

This week was so good. I got to go on exchanges with my old companion/trainee Elder Williams from Blackfoot! Man it was so cool to see our growth from  A YEAR AGO. It's weird we served together a year ago haha. Blows my mind how fast time has gone! I hit 14 months a few days ago and I now realize how my time is running out. I still have 10 months, but it'll go so fast. I've re-dedicated myself to the work this week and I saw the blessings from it! Elder Williams and I have SO MANY MIRACLES on exchanges. We were put into the right place at the right time because we were obedient. I'll copy and paste my journal entry so it'll save me time haha.

What. A. Day. Exchanges with Elder Williams was incredible. I'm going to write the miracles because it's all I have time for. Miracle 1. Brother Goodenough... After we met Bryce Hunt, Elder Williams wanted to evaluate our approach so we decided to pull around and talk. Miracle 2, in front of us was Brother Goodenough!!!!! We freaked out and rushed to talk to him. He went inside so we knocked and Sister Goodenough answered. We shot the breeze a bit and wanted to do a Facebook scroll with her. We said a prayer and she immediately thought of her less-active daughter. Miracle 3, she was the first person on her Friend's list! We talked about her and how we can help her come back. Miracle 4, she walks into the house as we're talking about her!!!!!! WHAAAAT. We kinda sat there not knowing what to do, then Elder Williams asks to share a scripture. Miracle 5, lo and behold we thought of the same scripture at the same time... Helaman 5:12! We were freaking out at this point! We got out of their house and were just awstruck and kept saying "What just happened?". Miracle 6, talking to different people when prompted to, and our plans making changes constantly, lead us to the exact people the Lord prepared for us. We forgot to visit Sky and at this time it's about 8 o'clock. We rushed over to her house and knocked. She didn't answer and that bummed us out but we saw some kids across the street at Gonzalez so we went to talk to them. It kind of just came out of me, but I told Elder Williams that we should say a prayer. We asked for help to find who needs us and to be directed to them. I felt really strong about the group of kids so we went to talk to them. Big group of high-school kids and we knew a few. We taught them about the Book of Mormon and what it meant to us. It was powerful! Miracle 7 (I think), Hayden Obray was there. He was kind of in the background but Elder Williams knew who he was and even had a prompting to talk to him! We left and started driving to Bishop Godfrey's and Elder Williams was kicking himself for not following that prompting. Miracle 8, they weren't home. Miracle 9, Hayden pulls up to his house across the street. At this point it isn't a surprise. The Lord is SO in the details of His children's lives. He was preparing many of His children tonight to hear the Gospel. We talked with Hayden and testified boldly what the Gospel means to us. How we left everything to talk with him right there and right now that God loves him and is aware of him. Hayden's family is less-active and he wants to come back. Miracle 10, He still believes and has a testimony of the Book of Mormon too! We promised him life will without a doubt be better if he goes to church and does what he should. He felt that spirit for sure and he was so humble.

This day has been one of the greatest if not the best day of my mission. I felt guided the entire day, and I was receiving revelation after revelation. I can see how much the Lord is in the details of our lives everyday. He knows exactly where to put us and what we need to help His children back to him. I know He was the one guiding us today. These aren't coincidences, they are miracles. Angels were present today and I could feel them. Despite our imperfections, God is STILL willing to bless us immensely.

I don't have much time to email today because we are helping a member with his cows and farm! Not sure exactly what we're doing but Elder Damms and I are so excited haha. Love ya mom!!!!!!!!!!
