February 5, 2018

OKAY. Wow. This week was one for the books. My companion Elder Child has had some hard struggles... I won't go into detail but we have been working through them with faith! This week we had the opportunity to have "interviews" with out mission president! We didn't really get interviewed, we just set up out SMARTPHONES. So now they are up and running haha. It feels SO weird. I've kinda forgotten how to use it. Does feel nice to have one though! They are going to help a lot in our efforts.

We've been contacting a lot of potential investigators this week. We've had some success, but last night was our crowning moment. Cherry on top. Dipped ice cream cone. We had a lesson with a lady named Tiffany and her son Cody. We taught them the Restoration of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. Man the spirit was insanely present. They were crying and telling us that what we taught them felt so right and they feel so good. Lots of people would call this a "golden investigator". I would call them a "platinum investigator". We put them on date to be baptized February 26th! We both feel they're so ready and prepared and they committed to do it! The son, Cody, is 10 but looks like he's 14. He's a big boy but has such a heart. He has a hair loss disease (same on I have) called alopecia. He's got some bald spots and is pretty self-conscience about them. He really opened up and said he wanted to get baptized.

Well everyone, I love the mission. It is way more than I expected. The good way outweighs the bad. It's hard work. The hardest, most tiring work I've ever done but it is the most rewarding thing I have ever done in my entire life. My knowledge of a loving Heavenly Father has increased so much. I know He's real. He cares for you and He cares for me. Reach out to Him. The Book of Mormon is true. I wouldn't be out here for 2 years if I didn't know it was true.

Love you all! Till next week!
