Thanksgiving was fun! We really only got invited to 2 different places (which is WEIRD). We asked a family that the dad is a non-member if we could go to theirs and they said absolutely! It was awesome. A lot of the wife's siblings are less-active or are part member families so it was good for us to be there. Afterwards, we went and played basketball with a HUGE Polynesian family. They have 16 kids. They reserved the Stake center for 2 days because their family is so big. We played basketball for a few hours and volleyball for a few as well. One of the brother-in-laws is from Gilbert! He graduated in '12 or '13 and was on the volleyball team. He was good! It was nice to actually play someone who knew how to.
We're still struggling to find people to teach, which is so hard, I have enough faith absolutely but we just can't seem to find. I've committed myself more to do all those little things even better and to hold myself accountable more. Pray for success please! Tonight I have exchanges with the District leader in Afton, Wyoming. He went to Highland (another Hawk
) but it'll be fun! Then the next night, the other Zone leader and I are driving to Pocatello for exchanges with the Assistants. I love busy weeks, they always keep... you... busy?? Haha.
At the ward Christmas party in December, I got asked to sing "The Innkeeper (Let Him In)" from the Forgotten Carols. I'm super pumped! I kind of know the song, but I'm going to listen to it a lot (it's on the approved music list too). OH also, yesterday we had an AWESOME ward council. It was an actual council! Like people talked! The Bishop (who's incredible) decided he wants to do a missionary ward council once a month. Where the entire ward council basically will be on missionary work. WE ARE PUMPED. I'll let ya know how it works out.
I'm happy happy! Can't believe Tate gets him in 3 weeks. It BOGGLES MY MIND. Crazy how fast those 2 years went. I told him to go eat In-n-Out for me haha.
Here's some pics!
