March 11, 2019

Heya! We don't have much time today, we are going to a trampoline park in about an hour. Transfer news came and I'll be staying in my area. Elder Plumb also got his new mission call to come back to this mission AND WE ARE SO PUMPED. He goes to the MTC on Wednesday and his family is picking him up tomorrow. So he's gotta pack! I'll be training a new missionary this transfer! It'll be the 4th time I'm training and I love it. I'll find out on Wednesday who he is! I hope it's good.

Serving in old town Pocatello we get some cool stuff that happens. This week was a Brew Fest. So basically a BUNCH of drunk people. SO we decided to go do some street contacting. It was actually super productive!! We only got offered one drink so that sick. My main idea was to help Elder Plumb with his communication skills and changing conversations into gospel ones. He did SOO good. He isn't super confident in himself, but he's super great. I love him!

I had a pretty cool experience about prayer this week. I was praying before bed and I couldn't focus AT ALL. I was praying but didn't feel anything. I felt zero connection with God and it was horrible. So my companion and I said companionship prayer and gave each other hugs, (WHICH I HIGHLY RECOMMEND TO OTHER MISSIONARIES) like we do every night. I was just out of it and went downstairs as he went to bed to have a change of scenery. I kneeled down and just cleared my mind and talked. My experience was incredible. I hadn't felt the spirit that strong in a good while. It was like a waterfall. Straight fire hydrant to the face with the spirit. I was absolutely filled with charity and peace. As I was kneeling there, I could feel the Lord had forgiven me of my sins and was trying to teach my something.  I thought about how charity is the strongest of all the attributes. Without that charity, Christ wouldn't have been able to do what he did. Charity literally covers everything. I can tell ya that truly praying and then DOING charitable things is what makes it happen. Swallow your pride, get off your knees and serve. It's insane how it works! I ask EVERYONE who reads this to please please speak with your Father in Heaven. In True to the Faith this is what it says about prayer.

If you have a difficult task before you, Heavenly Father is pleased when you get on your knees and ask for help and then get on your feet and go to work. He will help you in all your righteous pursuits, but He seldom will do something for you that you can do yourself.

How true is this!!!!!! One of my favorite things to think about is, get on your knees and ask for help, and then stand up and go to work. God wants us to ask for help, but he also wants us to do what we can! It's simple. All right let's get real. I know that God wants to communicate with us. It is vital to seek His will and His help through prayer. The Bible Dictionary says that, "As soon as we learn the true relationship in which we stand toward God (namely, God is our Father, and we are His children), then at once prayer becomes natural and instinctive on our part."

I love you all. The Church is so true.
