Great week this week! We worked so hard trying to find more people to teach. We knocked a ton of doors, had so many rejections, got flipped off by some teenager, played some volleyball, had a GREAT lesson with Amanda (the person we're teaching), and found someone new to teach!
So Amanda is fleeping awesome. She got out of prison in October after being in for about 1.5 years. She's been a hard drug user for as long as she can remember but was ready to change her ťlife. She has a super strong testimony and believes it all! All she's gotta do is kick smoking! She doesn't even smoke that much and doesn't buy her own cigarettes so it's gonna be pretty good! She's going to ARP every week and we're going with her too. It's super cool!! We had a lesson with her this week with President Southward and it was awesome. She got interviewed by him and passed (she committed to not smoke anymore and she's doing great!). She's doing this thing called the "Quitting Smoking Program". It's pretty in depth haha. So right when you wake up you gargle cinnamon mouthwash and take 1,000 MG of vitamin C. After each meal you take a cup of pure grapefruit juice and another vitamin C. Whenever you have the urge to smoke, you put a lollipop in or chew gum. Apparently it's basically proven to help you stop smoking like super fast. We'll see how it goes!!!
The weather has been weird this week too. It's been like 45 down to 12. Sunny to POURING rain. We got drenched hahah it was sick. I took a photo because it was so warm and then literally 15 minutes later we were drench.
Anyways that's kinda all I remember for this week but it's been busy!!! I've been studying a lot about faith and I've learned how imperitive it is to increase our faith DAILY. Do what you can to increase it everyday please. It will change your life!
